CAREER SUMMARY

Jamie has spent over 30 years in the film industry working as a director and visual consultant on documentaries, TV commercials and feature films. He is also a travel and natural lifestyle photographer and his pictures have appeared in numerous International publications and exhibitions. He has had many International clients including Aardman Animations, Dreamworks, Oxford Scientific Films, Discovery Channel and National Geographic.

He has directed over 200 TV commercials and 20 documentaries, including his own film, ‘Jimmy’s Kitchen’, a documentary about Jimmy Pham, a humble and compassionate man that helped the street kids of Hanoi in Vietnam by setting up KOTO, a restaurant and training school to provide working opportunities for them. The film was shown on the ABC to 1.9 million viewers.

VISUAL CONSULTANT

Designed and directed the re-enactments for “Roar of the Kittyhawk”, a documentary about Australian pilots and the Kittyhawk P40 fighters in WW2 for Look Films/History Channel.
·  

ABC Natural History Unit and Museum Victoria, Melbourne, Australia.
Created two moving image installations for the Gallery of Life environment exhibition, including the Fire Pole production, designed for five vertically stacked monitors, set into a huge blackened tree trunk in an outdoor exhibition environment. Each installation used archival film as well as specifically shot material.
